At Gavin's last soccer practice of the season we did something quite fun. We played a parents vs. kids soccer game. I definitely had fun being out there on the field instead of on the sidelines. The kids gave us a run for our money.
It was sooooo cold and windy it felt nice to run around to keep warm.
The kids ended up winning the game! It was well deserved. They played their little hearts out.
Everyone showing good sportsmanship to end the night.
Cheers to a fabulous season! Oh, but wait! There is one more event to complete the season. The end of the season soccer tournament.
Gavin and his team played 3 games on a Saturday. The way they space the games it is a whole day event. They play a game, have about an hour break, play another game, and so on. In between games there were tents with yummy snacks to refuel.
Here's Gavin taking a lunch break. And Xavier and Reid having fun on the sidelines and cheering on their bro.
Gavin is so fun to watch on the soccer field.! He runs fast! He's aggressive. He gives 110% every minute he's on the field and you can see the determination he has to playing well based on his serious facial expressions.
In between games these kids didn't lose any energy. They climbed and played on and off the field.
Coach Tim and Coach Joe giving the kids a pep talk at the end of the tournament and sharing final thoughts on the season.
This pic shows all the kids in the league for Gavin's age group! We sure love Forks Soccer!
