A trip to Philly with John's Family

John, Reva, Zach, Eli, and Abbi came to visit over their Spring Break.  Our first day trip was to Philly.

Anyone want to play Sorry?
It sure was neat to see the big boys and little boys all hanging out together.  When I met Tim Zach and Eli were just little tikes and now they are taller than me......WOW!  They are such good kids and they were so cute with X and Gavin.  Xavier being the big brother in our house had a week of feeling like he had some big brothers.
Gavin was Eli's little shadow all week.  Two peas in a pod.
A stop at Reading Terminal for lunch.  We had to have our pork sandwiches.
Me and the littlest man.  Reid is such a great baby and a total trooper.  He is learning to adapt to our crazy world.
Monopoly anyone?  If you pass go you can collect $200.
The last time we took a picture in front of the "Love" statue Gavin was a baby.  Now we have one more to love and it has added to our joy!
Visiting the Liberty Bell.  It was really neat to be able to take Xavier to some of the historical sites again now that he is reading so he can get even more out of it.
Reva and I enjoying some girl talk.

Running up the steps like Rocky.  I was in the car feeding Reid, but everyone else rocked the running.
Then we had to get back before rush hour hit Philly so Tim could play basketball in the league he was a part of.  The team Tim played didn't have enough players so Zach got a chance to play against uncle Tim.

It was fitting to get a picture of the brothers after visiting the city of Brotherly Love.   We are glad John and Reva came to visit us.  It's always a pleasure to see family any chance we get.

St. Patty's Day traditions

The boys were certain this years Leprechaun trap would catch those tricky Leprechauns.  We built it out of Legos and made each layer a color of the rainbow so that the Leprechauns would think there was gold at the end of the rainbow.  Xavier even added a trap door that the Leprechaun would fall into.

The morning of St. Patrick's day we found our toilet water green, all of our shoes lined up in rows, our milk turned green, and coins, toys, and things all over the living room.  Those tricky Leprechauns left quite a mess!

The trap was empty, but they left some light up clovers, clover sunglasses, and some green apples for the boys.
I made green pancakes and rainbow fruit kabobs for the boys.
I am the LUCKIEST mom in the world to have such wild, crazy, fun, and nice boys.

Gavin's Special Day

Gavin's preschool celebrates birthdays.  Since Gavin's birthday is in the summer they assigned him a special day in class.  Tim and I were able to spend the last hour with him and his classmates.  Gavin was the leader for the day.  First he got to collect all the books.

Gavin and Gavin C. are working as a team.
Gavin is helping with the calendar.
Gavin and daddy!

Gavin is sharing some things about himself.
Gavin got to choose all the songs they sang during singing time.
Then everyone sang to him.  I made some chocolate chip cookies for his special day treat and Gavin chose chocolate milk to go with them.

Last was a trip to the bike room.  Gavin and his best buddy Cye are racing around the track.  Look at Gavin's determined face to be faster than Cye.
Cheers to our wonderfully silly, amazingly competitive, generous, curious, happy, fun, clever, witty, and creative "dude".

Crayola Factory chaperone

I got to chaperone Xavier's class field trip to the Crayola Factory.  I had the best bunch of kids in my group.  They listened so well and were so sweet.  Andrew gave me a crayon ring he had made and Rileigh gave me a crayon ring too.  It was so nice to spend time with the kids Xavier goes to school with and I'm so grateful for all the nice kids that are in his class.

Lillian, Xavier, Jacob (X's best school buddy), Andrew, and Rileigh.
It was a little chaotic keeping tabs on 5 kids throughout the museum, so I was only able to snap a quick shot of me and my favorite student as we were walking back to the car.

More Silly Stuff

Daddy made dolphin bananas for the boys lunch.  Sometimes making food fun is just what the kids need to spice up lunch!

One of Xavier's friends from church got baptized.  Brother Varley decided to make the clean up A LOT more fun and exciting.  Xavier was happy as a clam going for a ride on this chair tower.  I hope I have lots of happy wrinkles when I get old from how much these boys make me smile.

Random Ramblings

I sure love this little boy.  Between cold days, snow days, and sick days we have been in the house way too much.  Looking at this face makes it all better.

Here we are playing airport and Reid is the pilot, Gavin is the passenger and I was the flight attendant.
I bought some window markers.  This kept my boys busy for quite some time.  We had quite the mural on our kitchen doors filled with rainbows, dragons, aliens, and other things.
Mr. Reid is chewing on everything right now.  He is working on his two bottom and two top teeth.
Cookie selfie.
Xavier went to a night out for kids at his school.  We took Gavin out to dinner.  He actually ate some sushi and liked it!  He was bound and determined to use chopsticks to eat his meal as well.
Gavin had had a big wheel type bike, a tricycle, and a scooter, but we thought it was time to upgrade.  He got a big boy bike with training wheels and is loving it.  He is obsessed with green so of course he had to have a green bike.
Xavier has lost his two front teeth.  The first one fell out when he was coming home from school.  He bumped his mouth on the seat and knocked it out.  The second one fell out just a few days later while he was in Primary at church.
Gavin and Reid snuggling on the couch.  Gavin has his moments of pure love for his baby brother and other times a little jealous.  So any time I see him being gentle with Reid I eat it up.  It's adorable.
