Road Trip Days 1 and 2

Our peanut butter and jelly picnic in the middle of nowhere. We are actually parked in a gas station parking lot somewhere in Iowa.

This depicts a lot of what we saw the first day. Lots of farmland. There was quite a bit of rolling hills and it was really green and pretty. Being cramped in the car and seeing so many open fields made me want to pull over and just run free.

At the end of our 15 hour day Tim surprised me by taking us to the Winter Quarters temple. It was beautiful. The sun was almost all the way down but the temple stood as this pillar of white on top of a small hill. After such a long day in a car it was nice to see something familiar.

Tim wanted me to take a picture of this. The Grand Old Flag!

Day #2 we drove through Nebraska through Wyoming and into Utah. You can definitely tell we're not in Nebraska anymore. What beautiful rock formations! Oh how I miss the mountains. I forget how immense they seem up close.
