Another year has gone and my little Xavier is growing bigger! It's weird to think I have a 6 year old. Where did the time go? It seems like yesterday I was leaving the hospital with my little 7 lb. baby boy. Xavier is such a great kid and turning out to be one responsible, kind, thoughtful, smart, energetic, and fun boy! He is always learning new things, making new friends, and bringing joy and laughter into our home. He is a great example to his little brother and teaches him all sorts of good things. Xavier's love for life, people, and learning is absolutely contagious. I think his energy is too! He keeps me going some days and I love that about him. We are never bored in this house!
For Xavier's special day we decided to play hooky from school and daddy took a vacation day. It was wonderful to spend the day together.
This year, Xavier's party theme was Ninjago (lego ninja's for those unfamiliar with the name) I made a banner with an Asian looking font and added some paper lanterns to give a little more affect. (Ignore the crazy mess in the background)
Best buds!
My baby is getting too big too fast!
Father and son. Xavier's first request of the day was to eat breakfast at the 248 Diner by our house. It was pouring rain all morning, so we had to do indoor activities. We decided our next stop would be the DaVinci Science Center. We have been wanting to check it out for a while and since Xavier is really getting into science right now we thought it would be a perfect time to go.
We learned about all sorts of things: building, bugs, dinosaurs, ocean creatures, electricity, levers, pulleys, gears, cause and affect, and more! The boys had a blast! (And even though he wasn't in school he was learning a ton!)
Xavier's smile says it all! Next we rented Rise of the Guardians and watched that for some down time.
Last of all, we met our good friends, Henry, Saji, and baby Hank for dinner. Once our stomachs were satisfied we came back for the finale. Ice cream cake!
I think someone likes being 6 already! Happy Birthday kiddo. We are sure lucky to have such a wonderful kid to celebrate! You are truly one of a kind and a SUPER DUPER son!
