Xavier's 5th Birthday Party! "Jedi Training Academy"

in a galaxy not too far far away, xavier is having his 5^th birthday!
So fly your spaceship at the speed of light,

To the celebration of our Jedi Knight!

come prepared for Jedi training

and restore balance to the galaxy!

as the padawan's arrived we had them join in a game of star wars bingo.

nicholas and xavier are working together to fill their cards.  after a couple rounds of bingo we were ready to start our jedi training. 

The padawan's are patiently waiting for their instruction.


Test 1

Agility

Crawl through the “black hole”

Cross the hot lava

Throw the death star in the air and catch it

Weave around the space ships

Save princess leia in the mass of storm troopers

Restore order to the galaxy!

after completing their first difficult task, our young padawan's were awarded their jedi robes.

little man was wandering around the entire time doing his own thing.  luckily everyone seemed to keep an eye on him for me so i could manage the chaos.

AFter our soon-to-be jedi knights refueled we had to pass out their light sabers (made from pool noodles, duct tape, and electrical tape) and practice honing in their dueling skills.

LiGHT SABER TRAiNiNG

use the Force!

Keep an asteroid in the air as long as you can with a light saber.

We used balloons as the asteroids and the kids had to hit the balloons with their light sabers to keep them in the air.

Strength & control

The ultimate test of a true Jedi……?

i had to get the suspense going so i told the kids to all stand around me, i started playing the imperial march on the computer and tim walking in the door dressed as darth vader.  as soon as the kids saw him it was like a swarm of bees.  they immediately began attacking tim.  (the unfortunate thing is that i was so busy keeping the activities going that i forgot to record this part)  it was quite memorable.  the kids were so ruthless i had to finally run up to tim and tell him to fall down so the kids would stop battling.  hi.lar.i.ous!!!

Jaden and toby (pictured here) were pretty ruthless with darth vader!  i'm glad they were on the good side!


balance has been restored to our galaxy thanks to our newest group of jedi knights!  to celebrate, we ate cake!

5 years old our x-man is!
the force is strong with this one.


after cake we awarded the kids their very own jedi knight completion certificate and a baggy of star wars goodies.

after the craziness died down our favorite people, henry and saji came to say hello too!

 gavin was pretty much venturing into unchartered territory and going places that were technically off limits.  i guess it's in the jedi blood to tackle the unknown and the dangerous! here he is climbing on old soccer goals in back of the community center. he's lucky mom was too preoccupied with the party festivities to take spoil his fun.
