The Crayon Charade!

This little man just melts my heart. But don't let this cute face fool you. He's full of a lot of mischief too. Especially as of late.

Gavin continues to surprise me and all the things he picks up from his brother. He also has some silly little quirks that make him truly unique. It's so fun to see Xavier and Gavin be so different and yet love each other so much.

Right now Gavin is intrigued by stickers. He puts them on his face, on his hands, on the walls, on my clothes, in his pockets, on toys, and on paper.

He gets very excited about marbles. He always wants to set up the marble track just to watch the marbles go down and around over and over again. He also says "muh buh" for marble. It's adorable.

Pockets are another fascination of his as of late. He tries to put everything in his pockets. So I have to be very meticulous about checking ALL of his pockets before I do the laundry.

Gavin is at the lovely stage of wanting to put everything in his mouth. Splendid! As you can see he's eating the rice that was meant for a sensory activity. Ruh! Roh!

Milk: it does Gavin's body good.

One of Gavin's favorite things to do to aggravate mommy is to get into my purse or my make up bag and start attempting to put it on himself. Pink lipgloss + a 21 month year old boy = make up disaster. When he sees that I've spotted him making mischief he bolts in the other direction and hides in a corner or in a closet.

My favorite Gavin moment of the last couple months was when I opened my dryer to find all the clothes speckled with blue dots. After pulling out all the clothes I discovered the entire inside of the dryer was also blue. Further investigation proved that a blue crayon was the culprit and Gavin was the guilty party for putting it there. After googling remedies to get the crayon out of our clothing and out of the dryer we learned that not much seemed to work. We tried Orange Cleaner, Soft Scrub, 409, Soap, DW-40 and nothing worked. Luckily I only did a small load of darks and so the loss was minimal. After putting some old towels through the dryer many times the blue seemed to fade and not bleed onto the clothes. Oh, and the DW-40 fumes eventually went away. (Lesson learned, don't believe everything you read on google. DW-40 was NOT effective!)

But no matter what this little dude does, we still love him to pieces, blue crayon and all.
