Catch with Sparty

The five days leading up to graduation different events were held around campus. We took advantage of the day Sparty was at the statue of Sparty.





Many people came to get pictures with Sparty, so as you can imagine a line had formed around the statue. We tried to stand in line with Xavier ,but he was too impatient and couldn't wait any longer to see Sparty. He decided he'd just run up to him and bypass the line of people ahead of him. I ran after him, but knew all was lost. There was no way I'd catch him before he made it to Sparty. He was holding his baseball glove and mitt. As he got closer Sparty knelt down and held out his hands to catch the ball. Xavier threw it and Sparty dropped it. Oops! Then he handed it back to Xavier to try again. The next pass Sparty caught! Victory! Xavier was grinning from ear to ear and the entire line of people were just giggling. They loved watching Xavier play catch with Sparty. Xavier loved it too! An audience, baseball, and Sparty makes the perfect combination for Xavier's ego. One more thing I love about MSU! Go Green!
