Gavin's Birthday Party

"Little boys are just superheroes in disguise" 

This past week we had a small get together with some of our closest friends to celebrate Gavin's birthday.

 The boys helped me prepare the cupcakes the day before.  Gavin made the yellow cupcakes while Xavier made the chocolate cupcakes.  There favorite part was licking the bowl afterwards.

 I made these superhero favor buckets for all the kids.

 Inside the bucket I placed a superhero sucker, superhero stickers and tattoos, a superhero rubber duck, a superhero "airplane", two glow sticks, two bracelets that had words like "POW", "WHAM", and "POP", a little frisbee, and some goofy string (aka silly string).

I set up the superhero back drop again for the party.

Gavin loves playing in the water so being that his birthday is in the summer it was only appropriate to host a Super Swim party.  We had a water table filled with superhero ducks and handmade water bombs (made out of sponges).  We had our pool, a sprinkler, a slip 'n slide, and a big cooler filled with water balloons.  The kids were happy for hours!

 I love that I got this duo in action.  They kept attacking each other with the water buckets.  It was hilarious.

 Sydney couldn't get enough of the water table.

 Gavin got the biggest kid, Olivia, right on the stomach with a water balloon.  Look at the excitement on his face.

 The gang re-fueling!  They ate super dogs, crackers, strawberries, blueberries, and carrots.  

After they had enough water fun they all made masks.  They certainly are a super bunch of kids!

 And then they were back outside.  Gavin went through 4 regular outfits on this day.  Every time the kids came inside and decided to change into dry clothes Gavin would sneak back outside at some point or another and hop back in the pool, clothes and all.  Sydney finally followed suit right before they were about to leave.  Never a dull moment at the Richardson house.  And that's a rap to our
