Battleship Campout

One of Xavier's top experiences this summer was joining Tim and his scouts for a battleship campout.  The scouts had a special opportunity to visit this battleship in Philadelphia and actually sleep in it overnight.  They opened it up to boys 6 and older.  Xavier was ecstatic!

They toured the entire battleship which was about a 2 hour tour.
I couldn't help but giggle when I saw this pose.  This must be his "stud" pose.
I think all the boys were in heaven.  Jaden, Toby, and Xavier are great buds.
Night falls.  They even held a drawing where whoever's name was drawn had the chance to blast one of these guns.  Tim said there was a heavy metal concert going on close by and as soon as the gun went off the music went silent for several minutes.

The boys quarters.  It makes you appreciate your own bed just a little.  Can you say claustrophobia? It's a good thing they all like each other.

The group: The Plate family, the Holloway family, the Morisie family, the Griffiths family, Enrique, and the Roberts boys.
The boys even got dog tags with their names on it.  Definitely a cool momento for such an awesome weekend.
To top off the fun they all got to visit the site where the Philadelphia Temple is being built.

Last, but not least, they got to eat at Reading Terminal for lunch.
