Easter Sunday

This year the Easter bunny got a little creative in hiding the eggs. Now that Xavier is a little older we didn't have to keep them all in plain sight. He did a pretty good job finding all of them.

The one thing he didn't find was his basket. The Easter bunny had left a shark book by the t.v. which instantly caught his attention. He was done after that. He didn't even remember he had to find a basket.

As you can see he is reading his book, absolutely unaware of what is above his head. We finally had to coax him off the couch and away from his book to search high and low for that basket. He got a kick out of it when he finally discovered it hanging above his noggin.

Gavin's basket had a fun little book that I love called How to make a Rainbow. Some egg shakers, a few hand puppets, a little boat for the tub, and some eggs filled with money for his piggy bank.
But, wouldn't you know, he went for the chocolate bunny......

When you have 9:30 church it's a little challenging to get good Easter photos. Well it's only challenging when you only have about 2 minutes and you have 2 wiggly boys you're trying to get to smile at the same time.

They are smiling because this was the last one before they could get off the couch.

One final thought. Even though these are the fun things that make holidays magical for kids, this quote says it best when we remember what we are really celebrating:
